The RSC is busily preparing the main auditorium for its new production of As You Like It . It has been a massive operation to clear the theatre of props, puppets and costumes and to reinstate the seating to its original design following the production of Game of Thrones:The Mad King. Teams worked for 24 hours for the first three days and then 13 hours a day to get lights, speakers, seating and other equipment back into place or into storage! Rehearsals are underway for As You

This year’s Autumn Festival runs from 29 October to 1 November and is based at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Across four days you can listen to all sorts of writers talking about their work from Sir Jeremy Hunt to Alexei Sayle and Dame Margaret Hodge to Mary Portas.
